Maybe it was because I had them both on tap, I don't know. Maybe it was just because I was in Jamaica and having a great time. Good stuff. frankenkitty (1903), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA

Delicate aromas are florals and grains while the flavor finds a pleasant sweetness resting on pale malt haunches. Terribly refreshing on a day with 100% humidity, this is a beer which is perfect on its home turf.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 17, 2002 I enjoyed this beer a good deal more than regular Red Stripe on my last trip to Jam. It seems to stay cold better (Or perhaps it is because there is less of it.) Unlike the regular this tastes less sweet, and was never skunky. For unknown reasons it was usually .50 - $1.00 US more a bottle than the other stuff. KennethJ17 (18), East Alton, Illinois, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 28, 2006 A good light beer. Slightly different in many aspects of most light beers. I’ve only had it while in Jamaica and haven’t seen it at all locally. Would like to drink it again. bethmatt0421 (321), Covington, Kentucky, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Feb 4, 2006 Just like Red Stripe, but lighter. I had both on tap at Couples Negril, Jamaica. Maybe its because I was already pretty deep in the rum, or just having a kick ass time altogether. They are both pretty good. AWS9 (233), Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

Goes down very smooth, though that doesn’t mean taste isn’t there. Fairly watery, but it was perfect for on the beach. Definitely surpasses Corona as a beach beer. Taste is obviously light with a slight trace of the spice and sweetness that is more noticable in original Red Stripe. I’ll stick with the not too filling original.
