Commercial Description:
First brewed in 1938.
It is a light alcohol drink with not too strong bitterness but rather soft taste; therefore, it's easy to drink it up.

The spirit of Jamaica tastes like spoiled corn-water. Sorry. The fact that there is a Red Stripe light is baffling.

Bottle. Golden colour. Head disappears immediately. Corn in aroma and flavor. Very light body. A little bit salty aftertaste.

This was not good. Perhaps on a very hot tropical island where , I think, it might be better than water but not by very much.

Pours pale straw, little to no head. Amazing lack of any flavor or aroma. Would rather drink water.

(Rating #1637)

Hooray beer My butt Pale gold, thin white head. Skunky, moderately hopped aroma, somewhat stale in character. Flavor is a somewhat spicy, dry, hoppy lager taste. Not as refreshing as some comparable lagers, but more interesting. This flavor has its own unique character in its mellow, spicy sweetness, and I like it. Thin and watery, as expected, and the flavor becomes less pleasant farther into the glass, but it’s a nice beer nonetheless
