goldtwins (3672), Nesconset, New York, USA Nov 2, 2007 Tap @ Redfish: Poured a fairly hazy dark amber color. The aroma was Belgian yeasty and estery. Banana, fruity and some spice. A little sweet. the flavor was malty and fruity with some more banana. Semi-dry with a medium body. CaptainCougar (4600), Rockville, Maryland, USA Oct 27, 2007 On tap at the brewpub on 10/14/07: Pours a murky dark ruby mahogany with a thin ring of wispy white head. Aroma of toasty, grainy caramel malt with a touch of cherries and Belgian yeast. Starts fairly full and toasty caramely sweet with a drier spice balance and a slightly blander doughy and bitter finish. Has some decent authenticity, but needs more sweetness. kp (6000), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Oct 21, 2007 Date: 10/14/2007

luckygirl (1212), Longmont, Colorado, USA May 13, 2007 Draught at the brewery. Beer is murky medium-golden brown with a small, white, frothy, mostly and quickly diminishing head.

The aroma is lightly malty with a light note of toasted grain; Yeasty with a trace of dough; Moderate miscellaneous notes of banana clove, traces of vanilla and peach.

The flavor is moderately sweet, trace acidic with an average-length, trace bittersweet, trace acidic finish. Dirty and metallic aftermath.

The body is light, the texture is watery and the carbonation is liveley.

Thin, poor and unappealing. rmussman (687), California, USA Apr 12, 2007 Sampled at the brewhouse in Boulder. Has a very distinguished belgian flavor to it with a high degree of malts. Pours with a good head on it and a cloudy brown color to it. Favor is smooth and certainly worht a try if you are in boulder.
