A hazy dark orange beer with a huge head. Both the aroma and flavor are sweet malty with primary notes of alcohol.

On tap at the 2007 GABF: Transparent copper bronze with a ring of spotty-lacing off-white head. Aroma of lightly sweet caramel malt and some mild grapefruity hops. Body is slightly sweet and caramely malty with nice bittering and flavor hoppy balance. A pretty good American strong ale.

Mild flavor... some light hops and some sweet and strong malts, not much other than that... basic flavor... grassy and wet weed flavor with some odd plum and wood notes.

Draught. Body is dark amber. Aroma is lightly malty (cookie, toasted grain), moderately hoppy (resin, grapefruit), with a note of alcohol. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium to full body, velvety texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic.
