Redfish Tree Hugger Organic IPA

Sampler at the Redfish New Orleans Brewhouse, Boulder 12/10/2008 Very fruity pine aroma. Golden coloured very fruity and hoppy with a little bitterness and dryness in a crisp malt finish.

On tap at Redfish, bright honey gold color, with a white head, leaving some laces, sweet toasty malt, floral hop fruity nose of candied peaches, orange, lemon peels, with with a spicy minty, grassy, leafy note in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a zesty, lemony, flowery hop leafy character, with some citrus, grapefruit peel accents, with a nice coniferous, cedary, pine hoppiness, faint toasty malt note, leading towards a leafy hop citrusy bittering finish.

Draught at Redfish Brewpub. Clear amber - white head. Nice freshness, fresh hoppy, light caramel, wet grass, knækbrød, swedish flatbread, resin, peppery. Nice.

Draught. High creamy and lasting off-white head. Clear dark brown body. Fruity, powerful good aroma. Mild smooth bitter hops flavor with pine notes. Low carbonation and a long bitter aftertaste.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear golden coloured with a medium sized off white head. Hoppy aroma of peaches, pine needles and grass. Hoppy flavour of grass, cardemomme and grape fruits. Dry hoppy finish.

Tap @ brewpub. Clear golden color, short head. Aroma of big hops, some grapefruit. Dry taste, quite fruity. Decent IPA.

Tap @ Redfish: Poured a clear deep chestnut color with an off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit juice and tangerines. Fruity with some caramel in there. The flavor was of caramel malt and tangerines. Light to medium body.

On tap at the brewpub on 10/14/07: Pours a transparent copper orange with a frothy, full-lacing white head. Light caramel malty sweetness has an orangy hoppy presence. Body starts pretty full with some sugary sweetness, slightly fruity estery citrus hoppiness toward a drier bittersweet finish. An ok IPA, but needs some refinement.
