Brown color with faint brown head floating around top. Dry cocoa nose with watery finish. Some cereal grain in there too. Watery flavor with a grainy malt body and smooth chocolate finish. An approachable summer porter.

Nitro. Poured a lighter black body with nice head. Faint aroma of cocoa. Flavor is sugary sweet, chocolate, smooth roasted malt taste. I enjoyed this one.

Bottle pour. Dark brownish-black in color. Very nutty aroma to this one along with some malty notes. I’m not sure if this bottle was old, but the taste was a little off. Very dry and malty but almost no noticeable flavors coming through. Decent, but not one I would seek out.

Sampled at the 2007 Blooms & Brews Fest at the Oregon Gardens. Pours a dark brown with a small head. Nose is mostly vanilla and a little chocolate malt. Taste is roasted malts, mild chocolate, and some mild earthy hops. Also a little nuttiness. Light body.

Pours a dark brown color with a lighter tan head. Aroma is of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, caramel, and a little bit of hop character to back it up. The aroma really wasn’t as strong as I would like. Flavor starts off with the roasted malts, coffee, and chocolate. Has a somewhat bitter finish. Better then I thought it would be from the aroma. I still wish there was just a little bit more flavor on this one.

The color was a dark brown\black with a hint of amber. It had a thin beige head. The aroma was not very strong but did have a roasted malt. The flavor was malty with a hint ofl sweetness.

Draught. Dark brown, big off-white head. Aroma is faintly malty with toasty flavors. Flavor is nice and coffeeish with restrained hop bitterness, but not as robust as I prefer porters to be. Pales in comparison to other examples of the style.
