Pours like Coke. Burnt chocolate aroma. Smoky coffee/chocolate taste. Very thin and watery. Slightly bitter, some metallic flavor, very boring

Bottle, bottled 9/26/06. Black pour with cream head. Coffee and porter aromas, a little weaker than I expected in the flavor department, but adaquate. There certainly are better porters out there, but this one hit the spot.

Pours black with a thick cream head. Smells strongly of chocolate and coffee. Mmm. Mouthfeel is slightly watery, but reasonable. Strong mocha-ish taste, bitter. A pretty standard porter, by all accounts.

A decent coffee bitterness, strong for a porter. Medium bitterness good mouthfeel with a dry finish.

Pours fairly black, aroma of malts, coffees. Flavor is quite bland compared to other porters. Sorta a disapointment.

Creamy head a little similar to guiness but just doesn’t do anything for me. I wouldn’t try again

In the bottle at the HyVee Oktoberfest beer tasting in Council Bluffs. Extremely dark brown with a tan head. The thin head dies very quickly. Has a big coffee roasted aroma. This is surprisingly good. The strong roasted malt flavor works well here. The big coffee taste makes this a tasty porter.

(Bottled on 7/10/06 from <A HREF=http://www.ratebeer.com/Place/new-hampshire/g target=blank>Glen Beverage) Basically lousy...Pours dark coffee brown with three fingers of light brown head. Aroma is mostly rather weak chocolate with some coffee. Mouthfeel smooth, slightly oily, also kind of prickly. Some sloppy rings of lacing. Flavor is some chocolate and coffee but doesn’t come together well. Other off flavors contribute to a poor tasting attempt at a porter. Bleh.
