The obligitory coffee cacao flavors are omni-present however there is nothing to back it up. Nice but Plain-Jane. A little thin, too. biggmike (480), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA

Very smooth with little carbonation. I liked it a lot and would recommend. Tasted of roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. jgentgesdo (564), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 29, 2006 Pours dark black with medium tan head. Nose is mostly roasted malt. Flavor is roasted malt, chocolate, medium sweetness. There are some very muted vinious notes. Suprisingly bitter finish, fairly chewy mouthfeel for a porter. Not bad. beachbum25 (797), Powellville, Maryland, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Oct 22, 2006 12 oz Bottle-Trade w/after4ever. Poured black w/a small tan head. Had some lacing/carbination. Deep roasted malt/chocolate aroma. Has a somewhat sweet chocolate coffee flavor, somewhat light but very refreshing. Has a long bittersweet finish, like a bittersweet chocolate, but chocolate isn’t overpowering. Has some coffee overtones. Not as bitter or as strong as some porters, won’t curl you’re toes; this an easy drinking beer which I found very enjoyable. Could definatly be a sesson ale or something to introduce a novice to this style without scaring them away. Thanks for this one Tom!! jcwattsrugger (5525), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

Aroma is dark malt-coffee/chocolate. Taste is dark malt-coffee/chocolate, smooth, roasty. Slight bitter in the finish. Mild/minimal carbonation. JonnyC22 (164), Huntsville, Alabama, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Oct 8, 2006 Brown. Flavorless, with the exception of some salty, wierd decaf flavor. Redhook is fairly legit, but this beer only helps forget about a bad Auburn loss. rayg1 (438), Ft. Mill, South Carolina, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Oct 8, 2006 I laughed when I saw most of the ratings for this beer because I agree with almost all of them but maybe my rating will be even a bit more critical. This beer has a very nice aroma but its all downhill from there. Pours dark brown with little head. Taste is a porter alright but nothing special what suprised me the most was how watered down the thing tasted, rather dissapointing. nick76 (2669), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 21, 2006 The aroma has toasted malt, coffee, and chocolate. The appearance is dark brown with medium head. The flavor is bitter with hops not present in the aroma. It has some coffee and chocolate but it does not come through the bitterness very well. The palate is a tad bit thin. This is one of those beers that you want to like because of the nice aroma but you feel disappointed by the taste.
