this beer pours a german forest black, without a head, after a few seconds, a melted caramel tan head wells up and sits for half a minute before it releases a rich chocolate-y aroma. the first sip hit me with a rich and strong chocolate/coffee flavor and cleeared my sinuses, it even made me sneezed, but the flavor is strong enough to be thoroughly enjoyed while not ruining the beer the finish is a bit acidic, but not bad enough to ruin the drinkability of this fine brew.
