Not incredibly exciting but overall quite good. My head stayed for quite a while and had the head of a guiness at the table and a young’s double choc to compare to. Very dark, stout like as usual. The flavor was not overall coffee, nor chocolate nor caramel, but a gentle blend of the three. Reasonable thicker than Guinness in mouthfeel, and a great deal sweeter/more potent. I enjoyed this quite a bit and find it to be rated a bit low for the brew I enjoyed, then again it is distributed by the AB that most hold a great disdain for. Granted it was nothing special, though it was certainly no "near par" beer.

Poured Very dark with a very thin, quickly fading head. Left almost no lacing on the galss. Very weak aroma, nothing really appealing to the nose. Thin in the mouth. Decent Finish but overall very disappointing.

12 oz bottle, via Indiana_Red. Dark brown body under a small fizzy beige head. Clear, with no visible sediment in bottle. Aroma is mostly grainy crystal malt with lighter accents of roast, chocolate malt, and a drying yeastiness. Lightly roasty flavor with an astringent and metallic finish. Pretty thin flavor overall. Thin mouthfeel with fizzy foamy carbonation. Lacking in depth of flavor and body, this was rather disappointing. I guess A-B’s financial backing did buy the pretty embossed bottle and attractive labeling.

Dark (barely any light gets through) with a nearly nonexistent head (very ephemeral). Aroma is very weak, but sweet and alcoholish with a hint of roastiness and coffee, (maybe a hint of fruity hops). The mouth feel is watery and perhaps a bit too flat. The taste is completely pleasant, there’s no negatives really, but very little to rave about. Roasty, coffee, sweet a hint of chocolate, and just the slightest bit bitter. Not a bad beer, but needs a bit more in a couple areas.

Color is black with a hint of yellow/red...looks like coca-cola. Mild flavor. Aroma is fruity but flavor is more like coffee with a hint of mixed vegetables. Overall, its flavor doesnt stand out in any way, its just average.

Draught. Dark brown with creamy tan nitorgenated head. Subtle chocolatey and floral hop nose. Sweet up front with chocolate and cream flavors that blend nicely with the citrus hop taste in the backround. Finish is similar to the start...slightly sweet. Nitrogenation makes it very smooth.
