Very little head.. Aroma of chocolate and coffee. Flavor is much the same.. Chocolate and coffee slightly dry on the finish with a little bit of the hops coming in to finish it off. Palate is slightly watery but about right for a porter. Not quite as creamy though. Very drinkable though.. Not bad.. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA

Very nice dark color with a med tan head. Aromas were roasty, but the chocolate did not come in until the flavor, and even then it was just a hint. Definite dusty finish though. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 25, 2005 Dark brown with ruby hints, thin white head. Smells fruity and malty, a bit nutty as well. Taste is of roasted coffee and a nice hop bitterness in the end. Mouthfeel is quite thin, which is unlike the porters ive had. However I kinda like this thin bodied porter thing, very drinkable and delivers great flavor. 11026 (1772), Alabama, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 14, 2005 Bottle. Pours a very deep brown color with mahogany notes when backlit. Slight off-white head forms and dissipates quickly to a ring and interrupted layer. Scant lacing. Aroma is heavily of coffee and roasted grain. Body tends to run thin, it needs more meat on the bones. Fair roasty notes, coffee in flavor, decent hop use. Fair. theacelatrain (262), Washington DC, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Sep 14, 2005 On tap. Thick, deep brown with creamy, off-white nitro head. Vague roasted malty aroma. Flavor is typically weak for a nitro, but sweet and nutty with a slight metallic taste - like the red skin on a peanut, or blood maybe? Too watery and easy to drink, offering little more than a pleasant mouthfeel. desurfer (1069), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 11, 2005 Deep brown with some beige head. Aroma is roasty and sweet. Flavor has a lot of chocolatey character, but is too thin. It’s passable. roder60 (1034), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma is prett plain roasted chocolately malts. Flavor is quite watery for a porter, slight roasted malt notes, but overall, very unrememorable.
