Dark brown color with ruby edges and a small off-white head. Faint roasty malt flavor. Roasted coffee and bitter chocolate flavors. Thin feel. Highly carbonated.

Dark brown color, transparent, with a small, quickly diminishing, off-white head. The aroma and flavor were pretty weak...some roasted coffee tones with a decent milk chocolate aftertaste. Thin feel...too carbonated.

Had this one bottled in Manhattan, New York. Tasty, best one from Red Hook I’ve tried. Thick and slightly smoky, has a coffee/nutty taste and a thick head. Not bad.

Dark black pour with a nice head and lacing. Aroma of malt, chocolate. Tastes very malty, with a coffee, chocolate, nutty, roasty finish. Excellent beer.

not bad for a porter, seemed a little to hoppy in the aftertaste. Aroma was sweet with roasted nut notes. could have been fuller.
