A quite smoked brew. The aroma is like burned toast. The flavour is at first sweet and malty, then in the finish it has some dry roasted notes. Palate smoked.

Brown, almost black opaque with tan head. Aroma of coffee and chocolate and citrus. Flavor was a little bitter and a little sweet at times. Satisfactory brew.

This was a good beer but not the best porter that I have had. Still worth a try but not outstanding.

I can't wait to get back home where I can find decent beers again... Pours black with a thin tan head that quickly goes bye-bye. Looking at it here it reminds me of a Coke without ice, only a little bit darker and far fewer bubbles rising to the top. Smells weak. Coffee and malt are the most prevelent scents. Tastes weak. Again, coffee and malt, but not much of anything else. Heck, not much of those two, either. There's a hint of grain. Yippie. Mouthfeel is foamy but watery. There's just not much there. Drinkability... < shrug > Sure. I think of a porter as something quite a bit thicker that you drink while relaxing, and you don't have too many of them because they're rather thick. This is so thin that it's like drinking a darker and fuller pilsner or something. It would be easy to have several of these, but not because you're enjoying it so much you can't wait to have another.

Looks great, of course. Nice waterfall settles into a thick, creamy head. Faint aroma, maybe burnt toast. A vegetable and then coffee flavor, then crackers with black pepper. Ultimately, though, the failing is that it ends up being too watery. How is that is starts so smooth and creamy ends up faint and watery? Is this the fault of the nitro pump?

Black as hell color,Small tan head that managed to leave a slight lace. The aroma was Roasted malt chcolate and coffee. The taste was roasty and coffee with a nice chocolate and very mild hops presence. The after taste was malt and coffee with a slight chocolate malt finish. Not bad decent at best but it was worth trying and the price was right.Free, my buddy bought them and hated the dark side.

Dark black color. Small tan foamy head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate and “burnt toast”. A light to medium bodied porter. Malts are chocolate and coffee, with a slight roastyness. Hops are slightly spicy. A little light bodied for a porter, the malt balance is right, but the mouthfeel is way too thin. There is a touch of vegetative flavor, not unpleasant but unexpected. Drinkable, but to light in body to be taken seriously as a porter. Mouthfeel is thin. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
