Blonde in color, hence the blonde ale name. Taste is flat, not good really, That’s about it. Bad. Canadianlush (169), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 19, 2007 The low ratings to date on this beer in my opinion are due mainly to the style of beer as opposed to the individual quality of this one. The fact is the darker the beer the better the grades on this site, and that’s unfortunate here. For blonde ales which are normally smooth but watered down and easy to drink, this one is packed with flavor right from the start. Sweet, barley filled aroma gives way to a fairly dense hoppy and malty beer. Pours an almost cloudy dark yellow with a decent head that stuck around for a while. Alcohol nicely hidden with a smooth finish that had me reachin’ for another sip. Deserves a lot better than 24th percentile. aubreya (676), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 19, 2007 The color was a thin orangy/yellow. The aroma...typcal macrobrew smell...corny with possibly a light citris and some hops. The flavor was some barley, hops, and corny. The palate was thin and the finish, abrupt. pojo41 (315), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 17, 2007 Bottle. Very nice color and appearance but, without the usual head of this style.
To echo my brother, nothing memorable or offensive. Drinkable. emacgee (1888), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 16, 2007 This was basically souped up BMC. Thin yellow pour. Corny basement aroma/taste. A very slight hop in the flavor? not much going on. The palate was thin. Ok for sitting there and drinking. Bradrcr (781), Renton, Washington, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 15, 2007 Had from bottle. Aroma is a solid malt/hop balance forward, sweet. The malt overpowered the hops a bit after being open a few minutes. Beer is golden yellow with a white low retention head, clear. Flavor is sweet, bready malt forward, no aftertaste, with medium bitterness and a slight graininess. Mouthfeel has light carbonation feel for what seems to be med-high carbonation, medium body, and overall a very smooth, slightly creamy texture. Overall, this has always been en extremely easy-drinking beer to me. Always enjoy the sweetness and balance this one offers. A lot of blondes just taste like pilsners to me. The round ale yeastiness in this just gives such a different impression. biggmike (480), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 12, 2007 Fairly pedestrian blond ale. Nothing memorable about this nor anything offensive. Bland. markas101 (567), Fargo, North Dakota, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 20, 2007 33 cl bottle, Fargo. Golden colour, zero head. Malty aroma, sweet flavor, not much complexity, there are better blondes out there but this is certainly drinkable.
