It’s carbonated very lightly and has no malt sweetness or hop bitterness. It finishes clean, with no aftertaste. I guess this would be the Red Hook ale for the uninitiated. terapenguin (11), USA

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 13, 2006 Very clear amber pour with white head. Grainy nose and not much more. I taste a hint of hops and honey, but not much else. This must be the ale they use to cater to the Macrobrew crowd. linkolnlogg (94), your home, Minnesota, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Oct 9, 2006 Bottle to pounder (shaker). Pours out a nice yellow-gold colour with a slight bubbly head with sparse to nonexistant lacing. Strong aroma of lemony ester and grain held together by a mild hops note. Very mild overall scent with the exception of the estery compounds. Taste is malty, wheat, and yeast. Goes down smooth and is very drinkable, as seems to be the redhook style, but lacks slightly in marriages of elements. The elements do come together but they dont seem to be making any particular statement. Aggie80 (708), Michigan, USA
