Pours lieght burnt orange with a 1 finger foamy white head that has pretty poor retention. Aroma is light caramel, cereal grain, toffee, and faint citrus notes. Flavor is about the same with a heap of diacetyl and a little toast. Palate is pretty thin with a moderate carbonation and off dry feel throughout. Nothing too good or bad here, but theres a bit too much butter for therest of the beer to make up for in my eyes.

The beer’s color is a little more yellow than expected. Lemon and citrus flavors. Meh.

Golden orange color in the glass. Sweet toffee & malt aroma. Nice malt flavor followed by an almost minty aftertaste. Overall, smooth and easy drinking but nothing too outstanding.

Bottle (12oz) shared with HogTownHarry & garthicus -- c/o garthicus. Pours a clear oily looking golden-orange with a small quickly diminishing white head. Mild aroma of grain, sweet malt and very light hops. Watery flavour of grain, corn, bread, artificial fruit and a light bitter finish -- not liking it. Average bodied. Mediocre at best.

Floral, almost maybock like hop aroma. Flavor starts out with similar floral notes then segues into stale bread and hints of canned corn.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz into a pint glass. The bottle had a born on date of 01-12-09. It was sampled on 5-31-09. Appearance: The body has a dark golden almost coppery color with good clarity. On top an aggressive pour produced a tall foamy white head. It has good retention and makes some sticky lacing on the glass. Smell: There is a sweet candy like malts with notes of brown sugar and some herbal hops of in the distance. Taste/Mouth: It has a candy like character with hints of caramel, brown sugar and white bread. Hop bitterness is mild and adds some spicy/herbal notes to the mix. The hops come out a little more towards the finish and give some more balance to the sweet malt up front. It has a medium body, soft carbonation and a smooth texture. Notes: This was a nice interesting and enjoyable beer.

Pours copper/amber with an off white thin head. Smells of sweet malt and rosey. Tastes earthy and semi sweet with some peppery splashes on the finish.

Overall Impression: A pretty nice beer for what it is, no hug flavors or anything like that, but what flavors are there are done pretty well, it’s got a nice balance, and it drinks really nicely. Nothing fancy going on here, but a solid brew.
