I wasn’t sure if I liked it at first, but I was thinking about others like it. Some were way too citrusy, almost over bearing. Tasted too much like grapefruit. Not this one though. I think I would like it more when it was warm, Spring maybe. Nice mouthfeel, nice head. Alittle hoppy and a little sweet. BBB63 (4281), La Porte, Indiana, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Mar 3, 2008 Bottle and served in standard pint glass: Clean deep golden hue with a fizzy head and some lace. The aroma has notes of bready and caramel malt, herbal hop, some apple and pear esters, a bit medicinal as well. The taste is rather boring as it is missing the brash citric twang I was led to believe was here. Really noting more than a standard paint-by-numbers amber ale. Malty and sweet with a minimal hop bitterness. Additional there is a veggie and corn aftertaste that sucks. The mouth feel sprite but short, thin-bodied. What a waste of money, I was looking for something refreshing and this is not it. BeerBlockaid (548), Jacksonville, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 2, 2008 Pretty ok. Small hops, medium-bodied with amber and citric notes...fizzes a bit. malts and some fruit notes. Nice and easy, spring is sleazy. kimcgolf (835), Dacula, Georgia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 1, 2008 Had on tap at Beef O’Brady’s. Poured to a bright copper color with a thick white head that lingered thru most of the glass and left very good lacing. Mouthfeel of this full-bodied beer was a pleasant blend of hops and malts, and the flavor, while not real descript, was tasty. This all led to a long pleasant finish.
One of the best Ambers I’ve had. rick10485 (53), oneonta, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 28, 2008 I enjoyed this ale on tap. It held a refreshing crisp citrus aroma. Ample wieght and head to the beer. It maintained a great balance between hops and maltiness. Not too hoppy but not too citrusy. It was delicious till the end. jefcon (1009), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 1/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Feb 27, 2008 Bright copper in color with no head to speak of and a glassy, clear look. Aromas are light -- a little rubbery, with grass and hay, toast. Very light mouthfeel and clean finish. Not much on the palate but a generic malt taste. Disappointing. amishcaravan (239), Winona, Minnesota, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Feb 26, 2008 light copper color with little head. taste was alright but did have the skunk taste of a bud light or miller light. wouldn’t purchase again unless i was out to eat and it was the only option. thooper41 (393), Oregon, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 21, 2008 12oz bottle: pours golden brown with quick fading white head, aroma of malt if anything. flavor is what gives this beer its name i swear it has a slight copper taste along with some cantaloupe like fruit taste and malt. copper flavor in the beer just makes it off not a very good brew.
