Poured amber in color with a small, rocky, white head that diminished quickly. Looks thin and watery. Clear and lightly sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet though neither bitter nor sour. Tastes like raw dough. Malty flavor has a little yeast but no hops I can taste. Absolutely no "distinctive citrus flavor." Light body. Thin. Average carbonation. Long malty finish. Overall, first and last time I will have this one. heemer77 (4312), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Feb 15, 2007 A medium colored body with a dense white head. The aroma has light oranges with hints of roses and almonds. The taste has some light caramel and some almonds. There is also some light bread crust. Smooth and easy to drink. However, this is yet another bland Redhook beer. PhillyBeer2112 (2093), Orange Park, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Feb 15, 2007 A fair little pale ale. Spicy, somewhat metallic nose of possibly noble hops. Amber, rather than copper color, with medium ordinary head. Flavor initially softly presented, with a medium body and light carbonation. Malts are understated but lightly bready and offer just enough sweetness. Hop flavors are minimal, slightly tingly and spicy, perhaps citric. There’s an astringent, possibly carbonic bite right before the semi-dry balanced finish. A good pale ale, all things considered. Suttree (2748), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

You know - caramel and toffee, mild hop bite, blah blah blah. Simply put, this is a well made beer, but so low key so as to be barely noticeable. Nothing wrong, no challenges. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 11, 2007 Deep golden with a thin white head. Aroma is caramel and light malt. Some malt and grain flavors, with a bit of a citrusy hop finish. Not bad, but not that interesting either. thegreenrooster (1852), St.louis, Missouri, USA

Nothing really happening. Flavor is a little better. Some thin malts with a grassy hoppyness but not much else to say as this is kinda boring. biz82 (1328), austin, Texas, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Feb 7, 2007 Clear amber with little head. Straight forward American caramel malt aroma with a little hops. Clean and malty with sweet toasted caramel flavor and a hint of hops. Even though the bitterness is low it is kinda rough. Watery body. jeffc666 (1897), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 31, 2007 Crystal clear light amber body topped by a nicely dense and stick lacing white head. Pleasing sweet and fruity aroma. Lightly hoppy. The flavor is pretty nice too, light caramel malt and citrus hops. Nice hoppy bite. Medium light body very crisp and refreshing. Not sure why this beer was released in January! It would make a really nice summer quaffer.
