Pours a dark orange colour ... hearty lacing ... nice smell, wheat and some citrus ... average no frills taste, some nice sweetness, but doesn’t really have a defining high point ... will do the job and it is quite drinkable but probably not again .... Nice color, no head. If you’re expecting big flavor, look elsewhere. This one is well balanced, kind of a poor man’s APA. Nice fresh hoppiness without being overly hoppy. The palate is quite nice, rather thick for such a simple bier, slightly over carbed. Overall I always enjoy a few of these during the spring. Nothing special, possibly the best bier for the price, but always refreshingly enjoyable. Butters (1652), Virginia, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | May 5, 2008 Pale copper body, small white head with large bubbles. Not much aroma at all. Flavor is floral hoppiness and citric. Bitter crisp finish. Nothing special. Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 5, 2008 Draft. Clear gold-brown with a slight tan head. Light, sweet malt nose, mild earth, a bit of spicy hop. Flavor is weak, more of the same. Pretty tasteless, but inoffensive. redgold07 (308), Irving, Texas, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 1, 2008 Nothing too remarkable about this one... had it with seafood and it went quite well. Aroma is light and a bit bitter and earthy. Flavor is a nice balance between the light malt flavor and a little bit of bittering hops.

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 25, 2008 Pours a copper color with light head. Nose is doughy, sweet malt, a little grassy, albeit kind of weak. Taste is malty with a little fruit, crisp and refreshing, but not impressive. Mouthfeel is thin. It tastes alright, though. bag (103), Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Apr 24, 2008 From bottle... pours very pale copper with small head. Aroma is weak... a bit of a fresh grassy smell. Weak malty flavor with a slight orange taste. Kind of sweet. Pretty crisp. It’s not a terrible beer... it’s just not anything special. Eh. | 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Apr 23, 2008 12oz bottle poured into a shaker. RCSA pours... you guessed it... copper-colored! It has a medium-sized head that lasts longer than I would have expected but doesn’t really leave much lacing. This beer has an incredibly strong strawberry chewing gum aroma. I don’t really know whether that is good or bad but since this isn’t a strawberry beer I’ll knock a few points off. Maybe it is anticipation but the flavor has a very faint strawberry flavor as well. Other than that it has a malty, green leafy vegetation flavor that is neither good nor bad. The after taste is a bit bitter, unpleasant and lingering.
