Pours a dark brown body with a small fizzy brown head that faded fairly quickly despite lots of visible carbonation. The nose is right up my alley. Roasty, but not overdone with lots of fresh brewed coffee. Add some chocolate and earthy notes and you get something wonderful. The flavor has nice balance, the coffee accents but doesn’t dominate. A very solid roasty and chocolaty Stout. On the drier side of things without any astringency at all. Nice lingering earthy and coffee finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, almost creamy in texture with soft fizzy carbonation. This was petty nice, a good hommage to the original Starbucks version that was one of my most memorable beers early on in my craft beer journey. craftycarl21 (563), South Hero, Vermont, USA

Aroma is thick with coffee, milk chocolate, and a touch of vanilla and caramel- also a bit of a woody, or perhaps even smoky aspect to it, and a tinge of bitter hop. Flavor is very roasty, with again lots of coffee. Extremely smooth, a bit thin on the mouthfeel, but not bad for a non-imperial stout. Pretty solid, definitely the best effort from Redhook that I’ve tasted. shawnm213 (985), South Bend, Indiana, USA

The aroma shows dark chocolate, roasted coffee, espresso, and some earthy hops. The flavor follows suit with the dark chocolate and roasted coffee coming together with a nice balance between the roast and sweetness. The earthy hops lend some bitterness on the backend as well. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and smooth with good carbonation. Pretty good flavor in this stout. Collint (460), Sylva, North Carolina, USA

Moderate coffee, chocolate aroma. Slightly charred, sweetish flavor with a lightly doughy, moderate coffee character. A little too smoky for my tastes.
