I dunno, all in all it’s OK. There are much better American "ESBs" such as Alaskan and Bridgeport, but this one defies the style somewhat, somehow. It’s "just a beer", and, I suspect, proud of it. scattershot (10), Minnesota, USA

There is enough balance and taste to make this enjoyable. There is a great malt character mixed with a subtle hoppy bite. What takes away from the rating is a thin palate and little aroma. drowland (1417), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 18, 2009 Has a dark golden color. Aroma is of malts and sweeter hops. Flavor is mostly of hops with some lemon peels and malty undertones. There’s not much of a bite in the aftertaste. DJMonarch (6861), Northwich, Cheshire, England
