Nice strong ESB. Solid pour with roasted barely and malt aroma. nice head and carbonation. Follows traditional copper ale brewing. Nothing special but satisfying.

Amber pour with little head. Not much aroma . Slight sweet caramel with mild bitterness. Not quite enough carbonation. May have been a bad bottle but seemed a little flat.

Pours a nice, deep orangey gold with a thin off-white head. The aroma has some yeast, some toffee and caramel, and some mellow hops. The flavor is nicely balanced - caramel and sweet malts with a touch of roasted grain along with a nice presence of balancing hops. The finish has a nice, mellow bitterness with an aftertaste of hops and caramel. The mouthfeel is creamy, it is medium in body, and it has a decent zip of carbonation. Overall, this is a nice session beer.

old rating: 5/3/7/3/12 - 3.0 pours very clear amber-orange with a small off-white head, and great lacing. smell is faint, some caramel, some citrus, some hops, and malt in the malt. taste is crisp, a little watery, a little tangy on the tongue, caramel, citrus, and some malt, ends a little bitter.

This was one of the first microbrews I ever drank. I have since drifted away from ESBs, but this is generally an OK version of the type. Nothing special in the flavor, with some bitterness. A good beginner’s micro.

Darkish amber with a average white head and decent carbonation. Aroma is sort of a tart candied malt and hops mix. Flavor is light bitter malts, dry hops and grains. Pretty decent.

Amber colored pour with medium sized head. Had a malty aroma with a little hint of sweetness. Mild malty finish. Drinkable......

I’ve always shied away from ESBs, but I did want to try this. I was not disappointed. Pours copper with a foamy off-white head. Nice lacing. Aroma is slight, but malty. Heavy, chewy on the palate. Lots of matliness up front with a bit of sweetness. Finishes somewhat bitter with some piney notes. Not bad. A little bitter for my taste, but a good beer.
