| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 25, 2007 Bottle. Pours a light amber color with a small white head that goes away quickly. The aroma was very fruity and malt. Taste is bitter and very easy to drink. this is one of my favorite ESB. Rballs01 (264), Mountain Lakes, New Jersey, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | May 21, 2007 Poured amber/red. Slight bready malt on the nose. The flavor was rather light with massive carbonation on the mouthfeel. BeerBelcher (945), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 19, 2007 This beer just didn’t do anything for me...it was not very flavorful nor appealing, and it had a distinct metallic taste that I thought was a bit off-putting for something you’d find in your beer.
This beer came out of the bottle a very clear tan color with good commercial-looking (small consistent bubbles) head. Aroma was very minimal...some sweet maltiness. Flavor-wise, I could not get over this copper-metallic flavor. This beer tasted like a penny, or like water that had snaked through a bunch of copper piping. Mouthfeel was a bit harsh and unremarkable. I was very not impressed with this beer. Driftwood6 (214), USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | May 14, 2007 Typical of a commercial ESB-- a bitter ale, with little complexity. I guess it’s ok, but nothing special. A little weak in flavor compared to something like Goose Island’s Honker’s Ale. jrob21 (1278), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | May 11, 2007 Looks good. Nice ruby red color. Taste, not so much. Flat, thin and relatively unexciting. May be good for a session beer. Has a little bit of a bitter kick on the backside. Other than that you would think you were drinking any number of other big production beers. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 10, 2007 Draft pour from Paulie’s Pub, Aurora, IL. Deep amber/ruby red color. Aromas are fairly soft. Some malts, grains, and light hoppyness. Average body and unoriginal finish left me hanging. swoopjones (1923), Buffalo, New York, USA
