Apr 22, 2007 Draft at Boise Burn Football game. Pours out a pretty nice amber topped with a off white head. A little hop and grain. Not bad for what I was expecting.

Apr 21, 2007 Smells of grains, light bitterness. Tastes of grains, cereal... and bitterness. Nice palate, somewhat syrupy although not complex. Nice little session beer.

Apr 21, 2007 Bottled on 12/21/06. Mostly clear, orange-amber with medium head that lasts well. Aroma is metallic hop and grain, some rye-corn-hay notes. Flavor is similar, mostly dry grain on front, some slight bitterness picks up after and continues to the finish. Palate is light-medium, dry and has some nice light hop tingle. Some slight coarseness in the taste, but inexplicable hints of dry lager yeast as well! Not a terrible beer but not great either.

Apr 16, 2007 Bottle. Poured copper with small, thin white head that disappeared quickly. Hops and citrus in the nose. Hops and more malt in the taste with some orange flavor. Thinner than I expected but is quite drinkable... a recommendation perhaps for someone just getting into beer but not much more going on here.

Apr 15, 2007 Not much doin here - tastes even and quaffable, but thinner than I like. Others (below) have put a finer point on the muted flavors here, and those are all fine. Just don’t expect big character. Otherwise, you can’t be mad at this beer.

Apr 12, 2007 Pours light orange/amber with a small tan head. Aroma is a bit nutty, with some roasty malts, and a hint of citric sweetness. Nice citrusy hop flavor, with a fairly solid roasted malt background. Palate is medium, with only a hint of the malt lingering shortly, and abit metallic. Nice flavor, and fairly balanced, but the metallic aftertaste doesn’t help this otherwise solid brew.

Apr 11, 2007 Bottle. Grassy odour with a faint hint of metal. Poured copper with a thick white head, much lacing. Malty base flavour with a hoppy bite. Lasting finish, hops with again a hint of metal. I have had this on draught, and the metal was not there. Could it be a result of bottling. Many years ago, when I came to America, this was the first microbrew I tasted. I marvelled that an American beer, I was used to the industrials, had so much flavour. Now it seems ordinary, I guess I am spoiled

Apr 11, 2007 Portsmith, NH - Great Aroma that leads the way to a crisp, flavorful brew. Malty base balances well with this heavily hopped brewski.
