Pours golden with a a fully receding white head. Aroma of light caramel malts, ,mild piney hops, toffee, and toasted malts. Taste is lightly toasty with a faint hint of piney hops and cooked veggies, but I don’t think this is much like an ESB. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a hint of stickiness, smooth carbonation. Not bad, but not impressed.

I like this beer. Poured out a medium amber, light notes of fruit and malts. Semi dry finish with nice lingering bitterness. Overall a very drinkable brew!

Bottle. Copper in color. An aggressive pour yeilds a nice (smallish) head that lasts for several minutes. Mild fruit esters, mild sweetness with a dry finish. Not as hoppy as the typical ESB. This is a good mild representation of an ESB.

Bottle. Light copper pour with small quickly diminishing head. Sweet, citrus, berry, orange flavor. Smooth with some bitter aftertaste. Decent beer.

Draft. Translucent light copper hue. No head. Berry, citrus aroma. Sweet, caramel-like. Not bad, but I’d had a few in me by the time I got to this one. I’ll circle back sometime.

Bottle sampled at The Newtown Brewfest. Pours amber with a white head. Aroma of sweet malts, caramel, and floral hops. The flavor is sweet, caramel, and finishes bitter.

A pretty good tasting ale, but not a bitter after taste like the name would imply.
