Wow, what an utter ripoff. Waited years to review good beers in front of this, anyway, let’s roll. Great label, great description on label, decent ESB color, I guess. Slight aroma, slight taste, no character. Good ESB is a fine style, so I stubbornly tried this stinker many times over the years, telling myself that the last beer was too assertive, ruining my palate for Redhook. BULLSHIT ! This is dyed red Budweiser (ie, Buttwiper). Jesus, Killian’s tastes passable next to this corporate "product".

slightly copper dark golden color, with a slight haze, smallish off white head, with only a little lacing. flavor is mostly of lots of light roasted malty-ness, and nice notable hop finish that is fairly clean. notes of bread and nuttiness. I dont notice the 5.7% alcohol at all, Overall a very nice english bitter that I would definitely drink again.

12 ounce bottle from a sampler. Pours a slighty hazy amber color with a thin head. Fair head retention and decent lacing. Aroma is earthy with notes of caramel and leafy hops. Taste is caramel, plum, peach and other fruity notes, leafy, bitter hops, nutty notes as well. Medium bodied. Good beer.

Pours light apricot color with a small off white head. Has a nice sweet fruity hop aroma. Similar favor, sweet caramel malt base with a small hop finish to balance it out. Fairly light bodied, easy to drink, not a bad session beer available at most retailers.

gl-lct, creamy-wh-head, nice-lace, fruity hop aroma and T1T2 oily-hop T3, same thru.
easy to drink but not to my liking.

{i might like this more now, with a lot more beers under my belt and an increased fondness for hops.}

A hazy copper pour with a big white head. The aroma is fruity with citrus hops and grapes. The taste is clean some sweet notes, but mostly bitter on the palate and in the dry finish.

(Rating #2786)

8th August 2008. On tap at GBBF. Fruity, clean light brown beer. Soft palate, sweet with a nice generic fruitisness the runs throughout. Very nice!

12 oz Bottle. Copper in Color, sustains a nice frothy head. Hoppy aroma that is not too overpowering. Hops and carbonation dance on the back your tounge. Mild to moderate bitter finish. Excellent beer to introduce bitters to a newbie.
