blackmurder (163), sadf, Hawaii, USA May 14, 2008 good cheap Esb. Not much more to say, Poured honey amber with a tint of fluffy white head. Tasted a bit metallic but not too bad. LOL LOL LOL
elihapa (200), Hawaii, USA Jul 23, 2008 1/07/08 notes: bottle. Very indescript, a tiny bit bitter on the finish, but overall quite boring and altogether undesirable. OK, maybe at a bar with exclusively macro brews this wouldn’t be that bad, but c’mon, why would I be there in the first place? Oscbert (190), Sacramento, California, USA Jul 19, 2008 ~Pours a cloudy golden amber color with visible carbonation and small white head.
~Sweet malty aroma. Carmel and light citrusy hops.
~Flavor of malts and light hops. Some glass flavor from the bottle. Refreshing, but uninteresting.
~Medium to light feel. Quick and dry citrus finish.
~Well balanced brew. Could use some more flavor. Easy to drink and enjoyable. Not memorable. May buy again if its on sale again and the choices are slim. Imaena (168), Portland, Maine, USA Jul 18, 2008 Bottle @ Ribbolata Portland 08.’
average. malty and faintly toasted, slight bite, and mostly boring. fluffy (49), USA Jul 14, 2008 probably the best of hte Redhook beers ive had. but thats not saying a lot honestly. light, bubbly, pretty good balance of hoppy and maltiness. a little caramel and tangy fruit and the end. a little grassy. not real interesting, but better than some of their products. derekbang (83), Indiana, USA Jul 13, 2008 Nothing really stands out about this beer. Clearly better than a macrobrew but not something I would select when there is a good selection of micros. In all categories, nothing really stands out - not bad in those categories but not really great either. It’s just kind of there.
