| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | May 4, 2008 Had a enjoy by date which I liked, I have had a few beers recently that I think have aged, and not well, recently.
Ap: Poured a slighlty hazed amber color, a little on the light side. The head was decent although settled quickly to a very light covering.
Ar: Malty and Fruity
F: A slightly unpleasant earthy taste outweighs a pleasant fruity taste.
P: Great carbonation level, went down pleasantly.
Drinkability: An okay beer, but not a great and I am not sure if I would revisit. The earthy tones were not for me. Could probably put a few back without being too dissapointed but there is too much better beer to try.

Similar favor, sweet caramel malt base with a small hop finish to balance it out. Fairly light bodied, easy to drink, not a bad session beer available at most retailers. easy to drink but not to my liking.
{i might like this more now, with a lot more beers under my belt and an increased fondness for hops.} Finhead (93), Illinois, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 6, 2009 A hazy copper pour with a big white head. The aroma is fruity with citrus hops and grapes. The taste is clean some sweet notes, but mostly bitter on the palate and in the dry finish. TaktikMTL (2786), Montréal-Nord, Quebec, Canada

(Rating #2786) madmitch76 (645), , Essex, England

Soft palate, sweet with a nice generic fruitisness the runs throughout. Very nice! Copper in Color, sustains a nice frothy head. Hoppy aroma that is not too overpowering. Hops and carbonation dance on the back your tounge. Mild to moderate bitter finish. Excellent beer to introduce bitters to a newbie. brenn79 (211), Idaho, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 14, 2009 12 oz bottle- Pours copper with decent lacing, aroma isn’t much, almost nonexistent. The flavor tastes like a pale ale to me, a very boring beer from a very boring brewery. bsp77 (202), Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 30, 2009 Poured from bottle into tall glass.
Clear amber-orange with thin head that leaves some light lacing.
Smell is faint but detected caramel, biscuit, fruit, light hops.
Clean malty taste, with a mixture of bread, fruit and slightly sweet caramel balanced by a light hop bitterness, that somewhat carries over to the aftertaste.
Moderate to high carbonation (a true ESB would be lower), medium body, slightly dry finish.
Easy to kick back with this one. Nothing special, but it has become a trailblazer for the craft beer movement and you have to respect it for that.
