I wasn’t paying attention to the label at first, and didn’t notice the difference until after I had finished it and was tossing the bottle. Hefe-Weizen? ChrisBeest (43), Corvallis, Oregon, USA

It’s simply a bottle-conditioned Pacific Northwest ale, made with some wheat malt. One would think a great brewer like Red Hook wouldn’t have to stoop to out-and-out fraud to sell a product, cashing in on the popularity of one of the world’s truly great styles with a lame product like this. swengolly (7), San Diego, California, USA does not count | 0.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 2/20 | Dec 27, 2001 There is no better way to say it, ’Its Crap’. Dont waste your time if you are a fan of true hefeweizen! TAR (2097), Boulder Co., Colorado, USA
