12 oz bottle from the variety pack. Typical IPA. Hoppy, bitter, has never been my favorite style, but this is drinkable to me so maybe it’s not as hoppy/bitter as it should be. Really, I’m biased as IPA is my least favorite type of beer (in fact the only kind I don’t like), but I’ve tried a few because I like to get the variety packs. This strikes me as merely average.

a bit watery and slightly unbalanced of flavor. decent floral and citrushop flavor. malt flavor is of little note. would do ok in a store full of bud’s and coronas. slight bitterness which is more like a tang. when you have a well carbonated bottle you have something considerably better.

Pours a golden color with a nice white head. There was a little bit of lacing, and a slight citrus/hop aroma. I liked this as an IPA standby, but it didn’t overwhelm me. Today was an IPA day, and this didn’t live up to the others that I tried.

Not much of an IPA but avalable at most supermarkets when in need. Floral tones mixed in the a lighter body lacking malt charcterstics give the feel of a beer with litle attention to detail. (something crucial for all IPAs)

12 oz. bottle at Zeno’s, Penn State. Poured clear orange. Lacking both hop and malt. Needs improvement.

Pours an amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is of citrus and pine hops, caramel, and some sweet malts. Flavor is the same with citrus and pine hops, caramel, and sweet malts. Bitter finish that lingers. There’s a strange flavor I can’t quite place but it’s not really that pleasant. An okay IPA.

Clear golden color. Everything about this one reminds me of a souped up lager. The aromas are faint but slightly citrusy. Crystal sugar taste and hints of hoppy bitterness. More metallic than I like in IPA’s or beer in general for that matter. A beer trying to appease everyone as opposed to trying to be original or unique scores low for me.

Standard orange/golden color with a nice white head. Fruity and grassy aroma is pleasant. Watery start on the palate turns hoppy with a smooth finish. Nothing outstanding, but a decent summer IPA, that is very drinkable!
