A small layer of head remained throughout the entire twelve ounces. No hop aroma, no malt aroma - what is it? Just a bland beery aroma. There is a pleasant, somewhat pronounced bitterness in the first sip, which remains throughout, even into the aftertaste. The bitterness level is fine, but there is no hop character. Just a generic bitterness. I think it has a thinner body than an IPA should have. sliffy (2012), Columbus, Ohio, USA

Aroma, citrus and floral hops, some malts in the background. Flavor, pale malts up front, with citrus and floral hops on the tail end. Pretty basic IPA, but not bad. spector (906), Lancaster, Ohio, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 18, 2007 This is the 4th of consectutive ratings for the redhook brewery and otherall they’re doing a pretty good job. This IPA has a very nice color with lots of bubbles. Not a real strong aftertaste but enough of a hoppy taste to make it interesting. A good IPA POD (198), USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 16, 2007 Bottle. Poured a small bubbly white head. Big hoppy citrus aroma of grapefruit. Full bodied mouthfell with predominantly citrus and hops slathering my taste buds. Nice lingering grapfruit peel aftertaste. Better than average. Dogbrick (2907), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 15, 2007 Pours clear amber with a thin white head that has decent retention. Thin, spotty lacing. Mellow aroma of hops and spice. Light-bodied with a mildly floral hops character. Light spices and malt are present too. The finish is not very bitter and it is on the dry side. Passable IPA that doesn’t bother much being interesting. MattShizzle (385), Bernville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 14, 2007 Bottle - from sampler pack. Light color for an IPA. Definitely good - closer to a regular pale ale than an IPA in my opinion. psuCE03 (122), York, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 11, 2007 Poured well but had no head, seemingly typical of the Redhooks that I have tried. Had a good aroma and a nice hoppy taste. Overall and above average IPA.
