However, since there are other brews out there I don’t think I’ll be paying for this one again. Versus Bud and Coors and other ^%^&, I reach for the Red Hook. Hope this will coax Americans into the finer IPAs but as a stand alone I was not impressed. Some mild skunkiness is detedtable and it does not have the bouqet that I expect from a titled IPA. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 22, 2005 A nice easy to drink IPA. I would call it a beginners IPA. Usual floral / citrus aroma. It could use just a tad bit more malt flavor. A good beer. BeerandBlues2 (3230), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 19, 2005 12-oz bottle, bottled 062705. Pours orange to light copper with a thin white head that quickly becomes a patchy white film on top and near the edge. Fragrant floral sweet perfumey hop aroma with grassy notes and fruit (peach, pear, and orange) nose and lightly roasted malt (grain). Bitter floral hop sweet yet acidic then becomes dry and astringent with a citrusy rind end. Medium bodied dry and fizzy palate. Bockyhorsey (2552), Mesa, Arizona, USA

Decent head with light lacing. Cool and crisp going down the hatch but missing a little hop bite and this may of been beeter for me anyway. IMtheOptimator (1161), Bethel, Connecticut, USA
