I really didn’t care for it. Extremely bitter- I almost couldn’t finish it. JoeM500 (1876), Chicago (little italy), Illinois, USA

The US brewers have done so much with IPAs, so anything this subdued is easily written off as bland. Actually it is quite the malty brew, with hints of flowery hops in the nose and finish. Pale and sweet. Dextolen (151), Michigan, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 16, 2004 Bottle. Pours gold and very clear. Nice head that leaves lace. Aroma is quite hoppy with a hint of fruit. It’s silky and smooth going down. Nice hoppy/bitter taste, very refreshing and really drinkable. I would classify this one as a great ’drinking’ beer, the kind you would pound a few back during a game. jefcon (1009), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 13, 2004 A contradictory IPA. It’s yellow and transparent, but has a fine white head with some lacing. The aroma bears out the hops well, but there is also a musky odor that isn’t as pleasant. As for flavor, there is a sharp bite of hops up front. Not so much on the back end, when both the taste and the mouthfeel slip away. Sure, it’s dry, but the beer lacks some stamina. Dorwart (1829), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 10, 2004 Decent off-white head of fine bubbles. Light carbonation. Nice hoppy aroma. Citrus and pine. Color is a light golden orange. Flavor is weak. A little hops and not much else. Finish is slightly bitter and a bit dry. EEEHHH. Nothing special. JonR888710 (999), Cochabamba, Bolivia
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Oct 7, 2004 Golden body, clear and transparent. Nice, creamy-white, egg shell head. Smell is light, fruity and hoppy. Taste is nice and sweet, lots of peach flavors first before the drying hops which are almost heineken like. Decent drinking beer. Malt base goes for a long time. Got a 12 pack from Giant in Fairfax, VA for $10... can’t beat that. I drank them in no time, must mean something good. atpayne (615), Zionsville, Indiana, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 1, 2004 Clear and medium gold with a tight creamy head and active carbonation. The aroma is fairly calm and mild. Mostly unassertive. It’s initially smooth and somewhat bitter although fairly plain. Average. michaeltrego (101), Amherst, New Hampshire, USA
