Still very nice thought GeniusGirl (221), Boston, Massachusetts, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 15, 2004 Ya Sure, Ya Betcha! This is a fine little IPA. Not really as bitter as I prefer my IPA’s (but, then, I do consider Stone IPA’s the standard, so I am biased...) But, a fine beer in it’s own right. Pigfoot (2226), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA

clear, pale amber hue, 1/2" silky white head, with copious bubbles.
Aroma: soapy, and slightly sweet, minor fruit, muted peach, muffled apricot, nothing to speak of, really...
Taste: more soap! a bit floral, herbal, I can taste the hops on the tongue, (Centennial?), but they are so small, and disappear so quickly, that it barely counts! There’s a cameo of spiciness,(a hint of ginger, even cinnamon) and a fairly decent initial texture, but the body is too, too thin for my taste, and this brew’s miniature charms drift away like a leaf in an autumn gust. It’s not terrible at all, but I can’t really see that "IPA" belongs on the label, not anymore. I remember it being bigger and bolder than this!

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 13, 2004 Pours yellow with a faint hint of orange. Nose is slightly grassy with mild hop presence. Flavor is bitter with moderate maltiness. Finishes dry. Not a great example of an IPA, but definitely better than any Coors, A/B, Miller crap. matta (1139), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 12, 2004 This brew is a fairly new arrival to Florida and as a dedicated rater I’ve got to try every brew at least once, Right?
Pours a pale copper colored body with a frothy white head. The aroma brings some caramel, grapefruit, brown sugar and a strange note of rye or some other odd grain. The flavor is in complete parallel to the aroma except the grainy flavor is accentuated a bit more with a presence of oatmeal.
Not the best IPA around.. that’s for sure. It is a mass marketed beer here in FL, I can find it in almost any grocery store … but I’ll stick with buying the SNPA. chriso (4851), London, Greater London, England
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 10, 2004 Hazy gold/amber colour. Quite hopy, as one might expect, but not as extreme as many US IPAs. The hops are herbal rather than the typical US sweet resin, so the beer comes over as quite dry. A pleasant drop. Cask, GBBF 2004.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 30, 2004 Draught at Anodyne, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Light amber/orange beer with a small off-white head. Mostly sweet fruity aroma with a slightly hoppy background. Oranges and apricot also. Fresh and inviting. Lots of fruit and hops in the flavor, oranges are the dominating fruit. Bitter finish. Good one!
