| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 23, 2007 bottle - About what my expectations dictated -- fairly mild compared to my favorite IPA’s. Simply an easy drinking ale with just enough bitterness to keep things interesting. TheShat (131), Lakewood, Ohio, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 11, 2007 Bottle pours golden color with a frothy head and the glass laces nicely. The aroma is a bit malty with a touch of sourness. The tastes is almost a balance of malt and hops with the hops winning out in the finish. Not as dry as many other IPA’s. I recall this beer being more bitter in previous tastings. Decent , but nothing earthshattering. BDR (2170), Roseville, Minnesota, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 12, 2007 I remember trying this back in the early 90s when it was Ballard Bitter. Today, it pours a hazy orange gold brew with a light off-white head. Long lasting and nice lacing. Aroma is citrus peel, some sweet malt and flowery sweet hops. Taste is lightly carbonated creamy and sweet. The finish is flat and missing the hop bite that most IPAs I am used to. A nice bitter brew but a weak IPA. thefederalist (227), Jonesboro, Arkansas, USA
