This is part of a beer club. Had only one bottle but was decent for the price. Poured great and had a nice finish. Would do again.

Pours an autumn colored bright, clear copper-orange hue. Creates a dense 1/2" beige head which unfortunately dies out much too quickly. No lacing noted. Malt dominated aromas are expereinced with tame, but pleasant notes of caramel, toasted bread, raw grain along with some fruity apricot-like aromas and spice lingering faintly in the background. Mouthfeel is a bit watery and thin, but refreshingly light. Flavors were a tad more assertive as compared to the wimpy nose. Toasted malt, light caramel candy are the mainstay with some faint spice, smoke and fruitiness detected. Unfortunately a distracting slight metallic flavor intrudes throughout. Overall a decent session Amber-style ale, but a bit of a lightweight for a cool, crisp autumn day.

Bottle Amber copper pour with decent head, quick dying. Malty and hoppy aroma and flavor. Decent session brew but nothing really stands out about this one.

12oz bottle poured in a shaker. This is another beer without a very distinctive aroma. There seems to be a faint hint of pine. Other than that it’s mostly malt and maybe some caramel. It pours the color of brass with a typical head. Again, nothing terribly noteworthy. It has a little bit of bite to it from the hops. It really is the only thing that saves this beer from being a dreary old macro brew. When I look back at my personal notes from last year I seemed to like it better then. I’ll be dropping it a notch on my personal page this year. There just isn’t much of anything to say about this one. It’s beer. It’s pretty much in the lower level of stuff you’d choose to drink on your own. Not bad, not good.

The head on this pour was outstanding, flavorful and frothy. I am not a fan of Redhook but this beer was a nice suprise. Dark amber in color with little hops.

This wasn’t too bad. As far as beer in general goes, I like it. Lumped in as an amber ale, it’s not as tasty as most. Everything was middle of the road. The dark amber pour with the thin white ring for a head. The aroma of sticky malt. The taste of mild malt with a little hops in the aftertaste to even it out. If this sounds vague, it’s because the beer is vague and not very exciting. Not bad, either, though.

From bottle poured an amber color with very little head. Decent flavor, with a quick finish.

Wow an east coast only fall seasonal and its an amber, a stroke of macro genius. I can only guess that the east coast only spring seasonal will be an American wheat. --------&# a minute does the commercial description actually say "as the days of autumn get shorter..." As for the beer, in each category.....average, average, below-average, below-average, and average. Actually this has a fairly off aftertaste and I would not recommend it beyond a small tasting sample just so you can say you had it.
