hopdog (4956), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 2, 2007 12oz bottle. Poured a deeper orangish color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of earthiness, toasted grains and a touch of caramel. Tastes of caramel, citrus, and toasted malts. hopscotch (4758), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Sep 28, 2008 Bottle... Murky burnt orange ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. The aroma is malty and earthy... caramel, canvas and beef stock. Full-bodied with an oily mouthfeel and ticklish carbonation. Caramel flavor with mineral bitterness that provides perfect balance, but allows the malts to shine brightly. Crisp, clean finish. Seems more like a märzen than an amber ale. BückDich (4618), Boise, Idaho, USA Aug 17, 2008 Bottle: Amber color with light head and lacing. Nose of toasty and light cinnamon. A chewy malt swirl going on with a light earthy British hop note. Balanced tail. Very easy drinking amber ale with a little spicy something. Couldn’t get any smoky qualities though.
