Redhook Long Hammer IPA

12oz. Bottle. Pours clear and pale with minimal froth. Smells of citrus and lemon. very bitter, oily texture and highly fizzy, but tastey. Very drinkable.

bottle: pint glass: had no idea this was macro when i bought it... however that became apparent after tasting. This is not a bad brew by any means, however nothing stands out... an IPA by the books.

What can I say? I’ve had this from the brewery on-tap and it bottles, for a macro-produced IPA this one’s not bad. There’s no special or unique qualities about it though, it’s decent but not wonderful. Malt backbone is thin, as it warms some of the early bittering hops give off a rubber balloon type flavor...which is not apparent in the aroma. Surprisingly quite thirst quenching for an IPA.

THERES A SLIGHT HEAD ON THIS GOLDEN TRANPARENT BREW. IT HAS A WONDERFULL AROMA BUT LACKS THE PUNCH OF MOST OTHER IPA’S, ITS NOT BAD YET NOT GOOD JUST NOT MUCH GOING ON WITH IT AT ALL.

Draft in Wilmington, VT. A light golden orange color with a white frothy head. Nose is lightly hoppy and a bit citrusy. Malt notes are light. Palate is thin but crisp. Flavor is lightly hoppy with a very small hint of tasted malts.

not so bad. clear yellow pour. citrus hop aroma. light grass hop taste with a lemony vibe - also a hint of caramel. fair amount of tingly carbonation. lightly bitter throughout.

had this on tap at the local tavern. Too thin in body to be a really good IPA. Had that hops bite that you need but just too watery. Lacing was fine. The aroma was there but just not a chewy as I like.

Bottle at Qbrick, Osaka. Cloudy amber - white bread. Sweetness, herbal, white sugar, knækbrød (swedish flatbread), ok hoppy, pleasant smooth malty. OK.
