Commercial Description:
Everything great that was ever built required a long hammer. A trusty tool used by ordinary ordinary men to make extraordinary things. Transcontinental train tracks. Impossible pipelines. Soaring skyscraper. Long Hammer IPA puts this bold spirit in a bottle. And like its namesake, it's a beer built to stand the test of time.

Sorry to say this beer was horrible. From all other raters it looks like I am off the mark but this is one of the few beers I could not finish. I was even at an event where it was FREE but I passed after the first one. Only thing I can think is I got a bad one but I was not going to try another.

Hazy blond color. There is some hop aroma. Medium-light body, with a dryish mouthfeel, some caramel flavor and some hop; at first the hop has some qualities (resins...), but they get lost on the way. Golden Ale style.

12 oz bottle. Beer pours medium golden color with a totally retained off white colored head. Aroma is lightly, floral and spicy hoppy. Flavor is sweet, then followed by citrus hoppiness, and a bit of graininess. Not special at all for an IPA.

12 oz. bottle. Pours clear golden yellow with a thin white head and plenty of bubbles. Sweet malt aroma with some fruity hoppiness. Mild for an IPA. Flavor is clean and crisp. Citrusy hops, slight yeasty breadiness, smooth bitter finish. Light bodied with a decent amount of carbonation. Very refreshing and drinkable, definately NOT a hop monster like many other IPAs.

Bottle from Premier Gourmet. Dark amber in colour. Pours nice amount of off white head, leaving good lacing. Hoppy aroma. A good IPA.

Poured golden with a smallish white head. Orange peel and other citris notes straight away, Slight bitterness and then a smooth finish. I really enjoyed this thirst quencher.
