Commercial Description:
Everything great that was ever built required a long hammer. A trusty tool used by ordinary ordinary men to make extraordinary things. Transcontinental train tracks. Impossible pipelines. Soaring skyscraper. Long Hammer IPA puts this bold spirit in a bottle. And like its namesake, it's a beer built to stand the test of time.

I’m not sure why I keep looking forward to trying red hook beers. I guess their blond ale tricked me... This was an eh IPA. There was not a good malt background to build the hop aroma and bitterness upon and the hoppiness itself was less than expected with a metal taste to it.

Quite possibly the worst IPA that’s ever been my experience to drink. Very little hoppiness or citrus flavor or anything that I’ve come to know and love from the style. This just is not good at all.

bottle, thin golden color, head is strong, aroma of slight pine and citrus fruits, thin watery bitterness and little IPA flavors

One of my first forays into the wonderful world of IPAs, but just now getting around to rating it. Ok aroma with some citrus notes. Light orange with a thin off-white head. Flavor starts off malty but gives way to a fairly bitter finished. Decent balance, but a but too much hop in the finish for me. All in all, a good beginner micro, but there is certainly better out there.

On tap. Really surprised this isn’t rated higher, I have had much worse IPAs that had much more favorable ratings. Gold in color that was served with no head. Faint smell of grass and citrus. Taste of Pine, citrus, and caramel. One of the most balanced IPAs I have had in recent memory. Finishes medium dry. Decent and sessionable.

Pours a bright golden body with lingering white head. Smells of citrus soap, almost stale. Flavor is weak for an IPA, watered down taste is still very drinkable. Leaves the palate with a dry bitter taste. Overall a decent attempt from Redhook.

Weak IPA but a good drinker. Hops dont stay around just get a malty essence in the finish. flowers/fruit.

Draught. Nothing spectacular to note here. Great, dry, hoppy IPA. I’m addicted to hops and this hit the spot for me just fine. A little dry on the finish, very drinkable.
