Commercial Description:
Everything great that was ever built required a long hammer. A trusty tool used by ordinary ordinary men to make extraordinary things. Transcontinental train tracks. Impossible pipelines. Soaring skyscraper. Long Hammer IPA puts this bold spirit in a bottle. And like its namesake, it's a beer built to stand the test of time.

Bottle. Pours gold with a white head. Sweet malt aroma with honey, tea, and trace hops. The flavor is also sweet caramel malt with traces of piny hops. Not bad, but a fairly poor IPA.

Extra pale amber semi-hazy pour with dishsoapy white head. Sweet and semi-piney aroma. Fair hop bitterness in the flavor, but not over the top. A bit Astringent on the finish. Medium body with fair carbonation.

(bottled Aug 26 08): Pours a pale amber body, very clear. Very white head, small & diminishing. Grapefruity hoppy aroma, some maltiness. Nutty smell. Nutty taste, some hoppiness. Smooth malty taste. Almost like grapenuts. Good flavor. Nice fruitiness.

Approached this one with somewhat low expectations and surprised by how nice this brew actually was. Pleasant piney citrus nose from the clear golden-orange body. Flavour carries more of the same with a bit of bittersweet caramel and singed hops. The body of this brew suffers from lack of a sturdy malty backbone and the finish is nothing grand, but it will do for now. Nothing special but not horrible. Approach with low expectations and be rewarded with an easy drink.

Bottle. Thin bodied. Overly bitter with no malt balance. Very average brew with nothing to make it stick out.

Cask at GBBF at the ladyboy table. Alround rating: Excellent balance, lychee, grapefruit, a solid IPA, excellent hop character and super dirnkable. Im monumentally suprized by a score this low, perhaps the bottles are pasturised?

Bottle from Canals. A thin bodied IPA that leaves little to the imagination. There is nothing out standing here it is average at best and thats not a horrible thing.

Probably the best I’ve had from Redhook. Orange with great lacing. Left rings along the way as I drank it. Very strong pine and grapefruit notes both present. Not much malt as per IPA, but very moist, smooth, silky mouthfeel. Enjoyable.
