| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Mar 28, 2008 Slightly hazy golden color with a large white head. Malty aroma with maybe a hidden citrus scent. Light body and lower carbonation. Some bitterness that indicates hops, but not a lot. A very subdued citrus hint in the flavor. A bit heavy in the thicke, short finish. highibus (441), Mill Creek, Washington, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 27, 2008 Decent color and head, but little aroma. But only a decent ipa. I won’t buy again, but it is not terrible. EKGoldings (447), Radford, Virginia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 26, 2008 Updated: Jan 29, 2009I thought this was a very nice beer, more of an APA than an IPA and perhaps thats why it is marked down from where I expect its rating should be. Supposedly around 38.5 IBUs according to redhook’s site, which aligns with my taste notes. I thought this had a nice hop balance, not much malt, a bit more carbonation than I like, great taste and, as somebody said earlier, makes a nice session beer with its easy drinking style. I think I’ll get a flat of this. Again, its below IPA style guidelines for IBUs but is still a fine APA. This is MUCH better on tap. DocHop (278), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 24, 2008 Pours a yellowish light amber with an inch of frothy white head. Slightly sweet aroma with a lot of hops. Light, fizzy body with only a little sweet fruit taste before the mediocre hop finish. Leaves a light bitter that doesn’t really last. Decent session IPA. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 24, 2008 Pours clear amber. Piney hops on the nose. The taste starts citrusy and finishes hoppy. Smooth. Not as hoppy as the top quality IPAs, but still enjoyable. Not as bad as its rated.
