| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 12, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear bubbly golden-orange with an average size diminishing white head. Mild aroma of light resiny floral hops and malt -- that’s pretty much it, it’s hard to detect much as it’s so mild. Flavour’s not bad, hoppier then I expected which is a good thing but still mild though. The hop flavour kicks in halfway, backed by caramel malt and then there’s a light to average bitter finish -- It’s clean and there’s nothing bad here, it’s just too light. Average bodied. Not bad, especially for Redhook and I could drink this, but overall it’s pretty average. scooterbub (380), Lander, Wyoming, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 10, 2008 Bottle. Pours a yellow amber color and has a good sized creamy white head that lasts quite a while. Aroma is of pine, grapefruit and hops. Taste is of pine, grapefruit, hops and is kind of bitter and sweet. Leaves a hoppy/bitter aftertaste. I like the taste of this brew (reminds me of their Winterhook) and it has a nice alcohol content to it. IT is pretty enjoyable whether it is warm or cold. Overall, this is a nice beer, especially considering that it is moderately cheap for a six pack and is rather fulfilling. truegen (164), Puyallup, Washington, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 8, 2008 12oz. bottle. Moderately citrusy nose rises off a light head with little staying power. Quick bite on the front of the tongue doesn’t go anywhere beyond that. Some interesting notes of pine resin and heather, but they seem free-floating on the palate. This IPA is totally middle of the road. I bumped it to an 11 on the overall because there’s nothing really bad about it, and it manages to hide the alcohol content pretty nicely. unclemike (834), Ft. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 8, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear light gold, pretty decent white head with little lace. Hoppy nose that is pine and spice based, but little else in the aroma. Clean, light mouthfeel, light to medium body and medium carbonation. Flavor is lightly bitter with a dry finish, but not much in the way of malt based flavors. Not a bad IPA as a thirst quencher, but not in the same league as the really great IPA’s HogTownHarry (4006), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 1, 2008 Bottle (12oz). Clear bright gold with an amber tinge, smallish fizzy-frothy diminishing white head. Strong initial aroma of pine and orange zest, with a hint of pineapple and grapefruit, but that fades quickly to generic dry floral resin with characterless sweet malt backing. The taste - well it’s pretty underwhelming, sort of citronella with dry pinewood, quite stale and a little harsh. Watery body, astringent without any upside, a stinging harsh bitterness in the back-end that lingers a long time. My lasting impression is "cheaply made" bigtaster (184), Grand Rapids, USA
