Commercial Description:
Everything great that was ever built required a long hammer. A trusty tool used by ordinary ordinary men to make extraordinary things. Transcontinental train tracks. Impossible pipelines. Soaring skyscraper. Long Hammer IPA puts this bold spirit in a bottle. And like its namesake, it's a beer built to stand the test of time.

Pours the color of a pilsner with a slight foamy head. Slightly citrusy on the nose, sweet pastry dough aroma. Doesn’t pack much of a hop punch for an IPA, ends sweeter than bitter, not particularly impressive.

Real standard IPA. I was glad to find it in a relative beer wasteland but it served its purpose and now I am done with it.

Clear boring gold with a decent white head. Smells like pine-sol, cat urine, lemons, and grapefruits. Tastes very resiny with a long, drawn out finish. Heavy on the straight forward bitterness, and not the nuances of the hops. Decently balanced. Semi-full bodied. Meh.. Run of the mill.

Pours a bubbly dark golden yellow, thick dense fluffy head. Earthy grassy aroma. Also some citrus and hop presence. Orange peal and grass, with a bitter hop finish. Not too flavorful or much hops. Palate is smooth a little thin. Meh.

Golden color out of the 12 oz bottle, with a thin fizzy white head. Pine hop nose with hints of canned peas. Orange rind bitterness with lots of grass in the finish. I also get notes of celery, pennies, and those canned peas again. There isn’t really enough balance here. Pretty average IPA.

On tap. Head is pure white and leaves surprisingly good lace. Aroma has very little mild grapefruit hops, maybe a little sweetness. Weak taste of honey malt and moderate bitterness, but something else. Vegetables, celery and tomatoes hiding in there. Palate is a little too light, too watery. Oh well.
