RERATE: I really enjoy this beer. It is not as flavorful or complex as say Dogfish Head, Smuttynose, or Stone, but it is every bit as well-made. A very clean and smooth beer. Very enjoyable. Definitely a starter beer for the high quality IPA category. BigMilly8 (376), Holiday, Florida, USA

Sweet flowery and a bit skunky hoppy nose. Flavor has hops, but not overly bitter. Some sweetness. Pretty easy considering it’s 6.5 %. congener (9), Michigan, USA does not count | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 1/5 | 12/20 | Nov 6, 2007 Not a great aroma. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 4, 2007 Rating number 1400. Bottled 082807. Sweet fruity nose - rush of grapefruit and other citrus, mild pine with somewhat exotic lychee-ish notes. Neon-orange body color, really quite strange, with a soapy beige head. Taste is sharp and bitter, fruity with a bit of bread coming through in the aftertaste, but the effect is most tropical on the whole. Hops are decent but not complex, taste is robust, body is a bit thin but definitely not watery. I’ll have to agree, much bolder than expected, and good as far as daily session+’s go, but in the end, doesn’t really reach far past average. xarcadia (9), USA does not count | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 3, 2007 Updated: Nov 13, 2007The aroma is herbal and slightly skunky. Nice smooth flavor, but nothing too exciting. It’s not super-hoppy; I wouldn’t really call this an IPA. raiderfost (158), virginia beach, Virginia, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Oct 29, 2007 after a few other decent beers i tried this one on draft at the Yard House. Didn’t have much on the nose and didn’t really impress me as an IPA. no lingering hop flavor and subtle skunky maltiness followed that up. Though on the plus side it smelled slightly floral and a bit of citrus too. Maybe im just upset cause I always expect beers to be more agressive.
