Commercial Description:
Everything great that was ever built required a long hammer. A trusty tool used by ordinary ordinary men to make extraordinary things. Transcontinental train tracks. Impossible pipelines. Soaring skyscraper. Long Hammer IPA puts this bold spirit in a bottle. And like its namesake, it's a beer built to stand the test of time.

Maybe I got a bad bottle - the beer is loaded with a massive ammount of stuff suspended in the orange / amber liquid. Poured a small cap but it has retainted itself and gives off big rope lacing. The aroma is quite appealing but faint. Sweet oranges and malts mainly. Taste is really good but lacks the hop kick. But I don’t mind in this case since I’m just enjoying what this beer has to offer for flavours: Orange, pine and a nice ammount of rich malts. The aroma is nonexistant by 1/2 glass. Fine carbonation that keeps this very smooth. Medium bodied. Hardly any aftertaste - I guess I still expect to get hit by huge hops, but this is more British than American for an IPA. Soft malty finish with a very slight bitterness. I’ve really enjoyed this one due to the malt content. Too bad I can’t buy it here! ....now on to President’s Choice Light...ahhahaha...it poured out like 7-Up and has a stench so bad that ass just puked. Taste is brutal. Pop. Nose burp taste like trees. 1.8. I only added that cause there is a minimum character limit and that was all that needed to be said. Now I gotta put this to long form.

On tap at Fox and Hound Lone Tree, CO. Pours golden with white head. Aroma is light citrus and hops with some malts. Flavor is slightly hoppy with some citrus and malt. Odells’s IPA was more hoppy than this. Nothing worth trying again.

bottle, pours gold, with a thin white head. Light grapefruit and apricot aroma with some hops. Light malt, and a ton of hop bitterness, ends very dry. Very drinkable, but not outstanding.

Pretty solid brew from Redhook... Poured a clear yellow with a small white head, and I wasn’t really expecting much from the appearance. Aroma mostly of assorted citrus scents, but the taste was hoppier than the smell would let on. Pretty well balanced, and a really good beer.

bottle. Pour a crystal clear light straw yellow, minimal fizzy white head that clears super fast. Very uninspiring appearance. Gah... aroma continues the trend- bland, wet paper grainy malt. No hop presence at all in the nose. Aroma might be decent for a light pilsner, but an IPA? Flavor at least shows some bitterness... very light, weak floral notes. Soggy dry malt. Wow. Weak, nothing there in the flavor. Palate is very light, dry, and crisp... again, might suit a pilsner, but nothing going on for an IPA. Overall, really a bad beer. Disappointing across the board for an IPA, and even discounting the style, very little to enjoy here in any way. Give it a 5 overall only because it’s not especially offensive- there’s just nothing there.

Grapefruit, orange rind, and lemonzest in aroma and flavor...brass colored pour with small white head. Not a bad brew but not anywhere near the complexity of others in the style.
