Commercial Description:
Everything great that was ever built required a long hammer. A trusty tool used by ordinary ordinary men to make extraordinary things. Transcontinental train tracks. Impossible pipelines. Soaring skyscraper. Long Hammer IPA puts this bold spirit in a bottle. And like its namesake, it's a beer built to stand the test of time.

Cask at GBBF 2007. An unclear golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, hops, and grapefruit, as well as light fruity esters. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of grapefruit, leading to a rather bitter and grassy finish.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Clear, pale amber golden with a small, white head. Sweetish, malty nose. Medium body, sweetish malty with a dry bitterness without much refinement. I really miss some fruitiness and some quality aroma hops in here. 290307

Slightly hazy golden colour. Woody, grassy aroma. Sweetish grainy taste with hints of pine and pale malt. OK starter micro, but leaves the seasoned PNW IPA drinker wanting.

Cask@GBBF2007. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is hoppy fruits along with grass. Flavour is really grassy and quite earthy. A quite boring IPA.

(12oz bottle, bottled 5/07) Clear apple juice body topped by small white head. Aroma is medium sweet, orange, some floral, some bread. Taste is medium sweet, orange/floral, some bread, light earthy. Light-medium body. Not bad, but only the ABV approaches an IPA -- otherwise the lack of strong bitterness leaves it in APA territory.
