Decent hops. Golden color. Quite bubbly. The nose and flavor are different. Upon first smell it was hoppy with bit o’ grapefruit and flowers. The taste really sort of put me off. Hoppy in the beginning, which was nice, but it added some off putting yeast and cracker tastes. I’d like a bit more hop flavor throughout. I guess interesting and had a couple, so it wasn’t terrible. Just takes a while to get use to.

Oct 8, 2008 12oz. Pour is very light amber with thin fizzy head. Aroma... where is it??? Flavor is terrible. No hop presence at all. This should be a CBA(Corn Bomb Ale) not an IPA. I heard good things about this one and nope, LIES. Stay away from this shit. I could barely choke this one down.

Oct 6, 2008 On tap. Pours golden orange with a foamy white head leaving a light lace. Slightly citrus hop smell with a little bit of earthy grain/pine. Sweet malt dominated. Taste is similar to the aroma with a touch of honey and a lighter body. Really, just an average beer with a tad bit of hop bitterness that beats having a light beer for happy hour.

Oct 5, 2008 Bottle shared by Springslicker. Pours orange with a thin white head that does leave light lacing. The aroma is slightly grainy with backing of a mix of malt and hops. The flavor finds orange and caramel. Slight pine flavor also. Light to medium body. Decent, went well with Jay’s jambalaya.

Oct 4, 2008 12 oz bottle. Wish I hadn’t bought the whole sixer. Not a horrible beer, but not very good either. Not as good as the other Red Hooks I’ve enjoyed. Rather bland and thin. Couldn’t pick out any real hoppiness, no subtleties, no nuthin. I love IPAs, but not this one.
