Big lumpy light brown head on a chestnut brown body, nice bubbles. Sweet and nutty nose with hints of brown sugar. real malty brew. Toffee notes & chocolate hints. Dry burnt tongue. Sweet caramel but with toffee and coffee as well. Pretty bland overall thuogh (re-rate)

Lighter but malty aroma with hints of toffee and chocolate. Light-medium red-brown color, head fades completely away. Flavor has some light caramel sweetness and grainy maltiness combined with a lightly citrusy hop bitterness. Nutty, sweet and faintly musty finish. Light, watery consistency and fizzy on the palate. Hmm. Can't really recommend this one.

Bottled on 010903 drank on 030403. Clear reddish-brown color with a small head. Toffee-like aroma. Ends a little sweet and a bit boring.

Pours red/brown with thick, yet small, beige head. Has typical Redhook mild hop bitterness followed by a pleasant nutty malt flavor. This is a good drinkable beer.

Dark brown color. Medium head. Aroma is malty and slightly nutty. A lighter bodied brown ale. Malts are slightly roasted, nutty and somewhat sweet. Hops are mild, slightly bitter, and a touch citrusy. Taste is a little thin. It’s a VERY drinkable beer, but not really very interesting. That’s not meant to be a rip. It’s a nice beer, but it doesn’t really have any distinguishing character to it. Mouthfeel is a little thin. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Pours with a deep amber brown color topped by a medium thick to thick lasting head with good lace left behind. Malty aroma with a slightly roasted nut background and coffeeish notes. Sweet malty flavor well balanced with hops and a slightly roasty background. The finish is sweet and nutty. Smooth and medium bodied.
