beerguy101 (3861), Newark, California, USA Aug 11, 2005 Tasted on Tap at 2005 OBF. Medium orange gold color. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is fruity and sweet. A medium bodied IPA. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are very mild and only slightly grapefruity. Very bland tasting. Kind of disappointing even from Redhook. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet. Tom Servo (424), Arlington, Virginia, USA Jul 31, 2005 Very nice. Sampled at OBF. Has an earthy, piney smell to it. Appearance is a bit darker than the usual IPA, with a bigger head. Nice balance between malt and hops, with a slight citrus flavor to make it a nice beer for a hot day. I like it. porterdude (170), Bellingham, Washington, USA Jul 20, 2005 Updated: Aug 17, 2005Taster @ PIB. Straw/copper pour. Viney, slightly hoppy and earthy smell. Apparent dry-hop flavor with a very good malt backbone. A truly balanced IPA that is very crisp and refreshing (at least during the 90 degree heat of the PIB)
